Registrar for assessors
Applying to be registered as an assessor
Registration as a quality assessor is only open to people who have completed the training which is only offered when the Accreditation Agency requires further assessors on the Register.
What is the Register?
The Register is a list of people registered under Part 12 of the Accreditation Grant Principles 2011. The purpose of the Register is to provide the Accreditation Agency with registered quality assessors who can undertake assessments against the Accreditation Standards.
Quality assessors are employed or contracted by the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency Ltd to visit residential aged care homes and assess performance against compliance with the Accreditation Standards, promote continuous improvement and provide education. The legal framework outlined in the Accreditation Grant Principles 2011, sets out the criteria for registration as an assessor.
The Accreditation Agency does not guarantee to provide work to all quality assessors on the Register. We have permanent and external assessors to meet the demands of the work available. Each assessor must be re-registered every year.
